Vintners’ Velo team complete NC500 cycle ride

Congratulations to our very own Membership Secretary Glenn Roberts and Liveryman Elliot Awin who today completed the gruelling North Coast 500 cycle ride!

After six days of cycling, covering 500 miles and climbing over 9,000m - higher even than Mt Everest - the dream team arrived safely back in Inverness.

Glenn and Elliot are pictured here with their fellow team members Liverymen Adam Coldwells and Charlie Hamilton who rode for the majority of the journey with Glenn and Elliot.

Thankfully a welcoming party courtesy of Swan Warden Richard Wilson MBE VR DL (dressed in his family tartan) and his wife Claire, were on hand to crack open some celebratory fizz, topped off with homemade flapjacks and Scottish raspberrries.
