Congratulations to WSET Graduates
Warmest congratulations to the many graduates recognised for all their hard work at the recent WSET graduation ceremony, including those winners of the various prizes sponsored by the Vintners' Company to support ongoing wine studies.
Felicity Cox was awarded the Vintner's Cup for achieving outstanding marks and the best all round performance in the Level 4 Diploma in Wines. Felicity is the Manager at Tim Syrad Wines, and is currently based in the Kingston upon Thames.
Peter Bland was awarded the Vintners' Scholarship for achieving outstanding marks in the Level 4 Diploma in Wines. Peter is a self-employed consultant and is currently based in Sheffield.
In a separate awards ceremony the following Vintners' prizes (all of which go to students from the Asia-Pacific region) were awarded as follows:
The Patrick Sandeman Vintners' Bursary was awarded to Christopher Chevillard, Senior Champagne Brand Ambassador at Pernod Ricard Japan, and is currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
The Marcia Waters Vintners' Bursary was awarded to Victoria Haysom, Senior Account Manager at Dhall & Nash Fine Wines, and is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
The John Avery Vintners' Bursary was awarded to Risa Tsujii, Sales Management Department Leader at Sapporo Breweries Ltd, and is currently based in the Tokyo, Japan.
The Michael Cox Vintners' Bursary was awarded to Jessica Ferguson, Chief Winemaker at Sirromet Wines, and is currently based in the Queensland, Australia.
We look forward to hearing how the prize winners will use their bursaries to further their wine studies, and also to having the opportunity of welcoming them to Vintners' Hall in the near future.
