On Thursday 26th October 2017, the Master, Wardens and Court of Assistants had the pleasure to welcome The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Dr Andrew Parmley, to Vintners’ Hall as the principal guest at the Livery dinner for the ‘Middle’ section of the Livery.
Andrew, currently the Vintners’ Company’s Upper Warden, is the 689th Lord Mayor and the 27th Vintner to be made Lord Mayor. He is the first ‘Vintner’ Lord Mayor since 1965 and the first ‘Vintner’ Lord Mayor as well as Alderman of Vintry ward since John de Stodeye in 1357!
The Lord Mayor was accompanied by the Lady Mayoress, Mrs Wendy Parmley, Alderman & Sheriff Tim Hailes JP, Sheriff Neil Redcliffe and Dr Fiona Burford, Senior Programme Manager to The Lord Mayor.
The event was attended by some 132 Liverymen, their personal guests and Company guests.
