* A nominated award decided by The Benevolent and awarded to a person (or company) who has either raised the most money or undertaken the biggest or most unusual challenge to raise money for The Benevolent.
* A nominated award for a person outside the wine industry who has championed wine in the past year.
* A nominated award celebrating a person (or company) who has championed the development of English wine in this market and overseas.
These are four separate awards celebrating companies that demonstrate best practice in one (or more) of four key business areas:
These awards recognise and celebrate the next generation of talent. Winners will be under the age of 35 and will be excelling in their field (wine making, wine growing, educating, buying, marketing, communicating, retailing, on trade, front of house etc.) by demonstrating innovation, leadership and delivery of results. This award can be entered directly or can be nominated by an employer, mentor etc
This apprenticeship is for aspiring winemakers under the age of 25 currently working within the wine trade. It is an invaluable 12 month placement where the winner will learn about every aspect of wine making. The winner will also be able to study for the WSET level 3 qualification.
A total award of £3,000 allowing for up to 3 winners with grants of £1,000 each. This award is aimed at furthering wine education by supporting young members of the trade, or those looking to enter the trade, under the age of 35 in work experience or wine travel to help further their knowledge and career.
This is a bursary awarded every two years for an individual to implement a strong idea championing new world or emerging wine regions. The winner will receive £8,000 to do something practical in the promotion and development of new world or emerging wine regions.
